- activity regarding specific governance proposals on the Yearn forum and the number of voting addresses;
- spikes in search trends and trading volumes.
Trigger:
A temporary increase in mentions of more than 200–300% from the baseline level or a sudden influx of new addresses voting gives reason to expect volatility within 24–72 hours.
Actions:
During such spikes, both rapid impulse movements due to the novelty of the news and subsequent pullbacks are possible; the strategy is to reduce market leverage, use options hedging, or trade with a reduced position size.
Limitations:
Positive noise can lead to prolonged growth if followed by on-chain purchases and a decrease in exchange supply, but it can fail in the absence of real demand.
