Will O'Brien
protocol architecture, smart contracts, oracle and unlocking logic
Responsible for technical choices that translated the concept of programmable collateral into deployable smart contracts and off‑chain orchestration. Engineering trade-offs made under this leadership shaped the protocol’s tolerance to delayed finality, the structure of collateralization ratios and the formalized unlocking/slashing conditions used to compensate counterparties in the event of settlement failures. Oversaw integration patterns with price oracles, relayers and custodial services so that Amp collateral could be reliably quantified and sequestered during pending transfers. Decisions about oracle cadence, fallback methods and rebalancing logic materially affected systemic exposure to market price risk and to oracle‑layer failures. Directed security reviews, testnet deployments and cross‑chain integration work that influenced the token’s credibility with exchanges, institutional partners and auditors. The technical blueprint he implemented became the reference for third‑party services building Amp-aware infrastructure and for subsequent protocol proposals aiming to change collateral parameters or settlement guarantees.
