Former President of Prosper Marketplace and fintech investor

Spearheaded institutional investor programs and partnerships that materially increased liquidity for Prosper notes and derivative instruments

Implemented structured programs to attract pension funds, hedge funds and asset managers into marketplace lending by building institutional product wrappers, due diligence processes and custody solutions. Those concrete product and operational developments changed the buyer composition from retail‑dominated to institutionally balanced, producing deeper, more predictable secondary markets for issued notes. Negotiated and closed partnerships with large capital allocators and introduced standardized documentation and servicing protocols which reduced counterparty and operational risk for large buyers. These executed agreements led to measurable increases in bid depth, reduced spreads and more reliable pricing for instruments originating on the marketplace. By professionalizing investor-facing infrastructure — including reporting, legal frameworks and treasury operations — enabled larger block trades and recurring programmatic purchases. That shift materially altered market microstructure for the instrument class, reducing volatility spikes driven previously by retail flows and seasonality. Public advocacy and industry networking carried out in boardrooms and investor forums also changed perceptions among allocators, prompting re‑rating and reallocation toward marketplace lending products. The documented partnership agreements and onboarding milestones are directly traceable to the change in liquidity profile and market resilience of the underlying instruments.
