Rick Rieder
Global fixed income markets, bond ETFs, monetary policy transmission
Rick Rieder is BlackRock's global Chief Investment Officer for Fixed Income, overseeing more than $2 trillion in assets including the world's largest active and passive bond portfolios. He joined BlackRock in 2009 following a career at Lehman Brothers where he was global head of the investment portfolio management group. Rieder has become one of the most influential voices on Federal Reserve policy, monetary transmission, and global rates strategy. He regularly appears before regulators and in media as a key representative of institutional fixed income views. His analytical framework combining top-down macroeconomic assessment with bottom-up security selection has allowed BlackRock's active fixed income strategies to maintain relevance alongside the firm's massive passive fixed income business, demonstrating that genuine investment insight can coexist within one of the world's most institutionally scaled asset management platforms.
