Rick Rieder

Rick Rieder serves as Chief Investment Officer for Global Fixed Income at BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager. In this role, he oversees fixed income investment strategies totaling over $2 trillion — by some measures the largest pool of actively managed fixed income assets under a single person's oversight. Before joining BlackRock, Rieder was at Lehman Brothers and served in senior fixed income roles. At BlackRock, he has built and led teams managing the full spectrum of fixed income including government bonds, investment grade corporate credit, high yield, and structured products globally. Rieder is one of the most prolific communicators of fixed income views in institutional finance, regularly publishing research and commentary that influences how institutional investors think about bond market dynamics and monetary policy transmission.
