Lead Protocol Engineer / Head of Core Development (VeChain) · VeChain

Built core clients, implemented VET/VTHO mechanics and delivered upgrades that shaped token consumption

Implemented core client software and protocol modules that operationalised token issuance, gas pricing and service fee collection on VeChainThor. Delivered engineering work on smart contract templates, client‑side libraries and indexing services that enterprise integrators used to anchor data and trigger VET‑denominated operations. Contributed to the design and rollout of the dual‑token model and the mechanisms by which VET and VTHO interact, producing tangible effects on consumption patterns and economic modelling. Maintained and executed protocol upgrade processes, coordinating hard forks and client migrations required to introduce new service primitives and governance adjustments. These technical operations directly influenced network availability windows, node operator incentives and the velocity of on‑chain transactions, thereby shaping token flows and predictable demand for VET. Worked with security auditors and third‑party integrators to remediate vulnerabilities and certify clients for enterprise deployment, lowering operational risk for organisations using VET as part of supply‑chain workflows. Engineering choices about client performance, event logs and gas accounting had measurable downstream effects on how often transactions were submitted and how services billed in token units. Supported cross‑functional teams to instrument monitoring and telemetry that informed commercial and governance decisions. The hands‑on implementation of protocol features and client ecosystems was a primary technical driver of how VET was issued, consumed and perceived by enterprise users and market participants.
