Directed the engineering and operational design that translated Paxos' commercial decisions into a functioning tokenized gold product. Technical responsibilities included selecting the token standard and contract architecture, implementing minting and burning workflows that map on‑chain balances to off‑chain custodial records, and integrating custody APIs and audit hooks used for reserve attestations. These specific engineering choices determined how transfers, redemptions and supply updates are performed onchain and how offchain custody events are synchronized. Led security and audit commissioning for smart contracts and operational controls, managing third‑party code reviews and penetration testing to validate the integrity of the mint/burn logic and custody interfaces. Also implemented monitoring and reconciliation pipelines that reconcile on‑chain token supply with auditor attestations and custodial inventory, directly affecting market trust in the token’s one‑to‑one backing. Coordinated deployment and iteration with product, legal and compliance teams to ensure the technical design met NYDFS expectations and exchange integration requirements. By building the concrete technical plumbing for issuance, redemption and attestation, the engineering decisions made under this leadership materially shaped PAXG’s usability, security posture, and ability to be custody‑integrated by institutional partners.
