Led mainnet implementation of Zerocoin and subsequent protocol upgrades (Sigma, Lelantus) shaping the coin's privacy and consensus codebase
Led the launch of the project software implementation, including integrating the Zerocoin protocol into the Zcoin client implementation and introducing network updates. Under his technical guidance, the mainnet release with Zerocoin implementation and subsequent updates were executed, aimed at eliminating identified vulnerabilities and enhancing privacy. Coordinated the development and implementation of architectural improvements, including transitions to Sigma and then Lelantus schemes, which required changes to transaction formats, protocol hard forks, and modifications to proof generation mechanisms. Under his management, technical specifications, release branches, and communication with audit teams for verifying new cryptographic primitives were prepared. Conducted operational response to security incidents and organizational decisions: performed post-mortems, managed patch releases, and coordinated network migration after critical findings. Also led the project rebranding from Zcoin to Firo and accompanied related changes in the roadmap and community communication. As a result of technical decisions under his leadership, the network codebase received key privacy and scalability improvements, and the adopted architectural changes directly influenced how the token is used, verified, and supported by network nodes.
