Naval Ravikant
Startup investing democratization, Silicon Valley philosophy, angel investing community, AngelList platform, wealth creation frameworks
Naval Ravikant co-founded Epinions and AngelList, the latter transforming how startups raise capital and how accredited investors access private company investments. As an angel investor, he made early investments in companies including Uber, Twitter, FourSquare, and dozens of others. His collection of tweets and podcast appearances on wealth creation — later compiled as "The Almanack of Naval Ravikant" — became enormously influential in technology and startup communities for their clear thinking about building wealth, creating value, and leveraging technology. Ravikant popularized concepts like "specific knowledge" (skills that cannot be easily trained or commoditized) and the importance of equity ownership for wealth building. He stepped back from day-to-day AngelList involvement but remains one of the most referenced thinkers on startup economics.
