Published annual Internet Trends report 1996-2019 — the must-read tech investment document; predicted internet growth, mobile, and cloud trends; invested in Facebook, Twitter, Airbnb, Spotify at Kleiner; founded Bond Capital (2019).

Mary Meeker studied psychology at DePauw University and finance at Cornell's Johnson School. She joined Morgan Stanley in 1991 and became the firm's internet research analyst, publishing reports that identified and articulated the investment potential of the internet at a time when it was barely understood by mainstream finance. Her 1995 report 'The Internet Report' helped define the dot-com investment framework for Wall Street and was widely credited with helping fuel the internet investment boom of the late 1990s. She was named 'Queen of the Internet' by Barron's magazine. Her annual Internet Trends presentation — first published at Morgan Stanley and later at Kleiner Perkins — became the most widely circulated document in technology investing each year, analysing technology adoption trends, mobile usage, e-commerce, advertising, and emerging market digital economies. Over 25 years of publication, the report educated millions of investors, entrepreneurs, and executives about the pace of digital transformation. At Kleiner Perkins, where she became a general partner in 2010, she invested in Facebook, Twitter, Airbnb, Spotify, and dozens of other companies. In 2019 she left Kleiner Perkins to found Bond Capital, a growth equity investment firm focused on technology companies.
