Chaired IBM's technical and commercial effort to build World Wire on Stellar, bringing enterprise banking partners to pilot XLM‑based settlement corridors
Led the enterprise program that selected Stellar as the settlement layer for IBM's World Wire cross‑border payments initiative, defining integration requirements and coordinating pilots with banking partners. That concrete programmatic choice required engineering interfaces, compliance mapping and liquidity arrangements to allow banks to settle using on‑chain assets, including operational use of XLM as a bridge currency in settlement scenarios. Negotiated and managed pilot agreements and technical integration plans with financial institutions and service providers, generating specific production and test flows that moved real value across Stellar rails. The resulting pilot transactions and public demonstrations provided empirical evidence used by other institutions to evaluate Stellar's suitability for cross‑border corridors, affecting counterparty willingness to run anchors and provide market‑making liquidity. Provided enterprise‑grade documentation and operational patterns that lowered the barrier for banks and payment providers to experiment with on‑chain settlement. The combination of pilot agreements, engineering deliverables and public announcements converted a technical choice into measurable increases in institutional testing, anchored liquidity and the perception of XLM as a settlement medium in regulated payment environments.
