Lee Yuan Siong

Lee Yuan Siong is the Group Chief Executive and President of AIA Group, the largest independent publicly listed pan-Asian life insurance company with a history stretching back over 100 years. Headquartered in Hong Kong, AIA operates across 18 markets in the Asia-Pacific region including China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, India, and Australia, with more than 45 million individual policies in force. Lee, a trained actuary from Singapore, joined AIA in 2020 from Ping An Insurance where he had served as co-CEO. His deep knowledge of both multinational and Chinese insurance operations makes him uniquely suited to navigate AIA's most important growth market — mainland China. AIA holds a rare nationwide license in China (most foreign insurers are limited to specific regions), and expanding this franchise is central to the company's growth strategy. Under Lee's leadership, AIA has been upgrading its agent force quality, pushing digital distribution, and expanding its health and wellness ecosystem.
