Leda Braga

Leda Braga is a Brazilian-born quantitative researcher and fund manager who spent years at BlueCrest Capital Management running BlueTrend, one of Europe's most successful trend-following CTAs. BlueTrend applied systematic models across a broad range of futures markets including currencies, fixed income, equities, and commodities, generating strong risk-adjusted returns over multiple market cycles. When Michael Platt converted BlueCrest to a family office in 2015, Braga founded Systematica Investments as an independent firm to continue managing the strategies, retaining many of the clients and staff. Systematica has grown into a significant systematic investment management firm. Braga is one of the most prominent women in quantitative hedge funds globally, and her success has made her a role model in a field historically dominated by men.
