Yasir Al-Rumayyan
Saudi sovereign wealth, PIF global investment strategy, sports investing, technology venture capital
Yasir Al-Rumayyan serves as governor of the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), which under his stewardship has grown from approximately $150 billion to over $700 billion in assets. PIF has made major investments in companies including Uber, Lucid Motors, SoftBank Vision Fund, and golf through the LIV Golf venture. Al-Rumayyan also chairs Saudi Aramco's board. PIF is a central pillar of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 economic diversification strategy. His investment decisions have made PIF one of the most watched institutional investors globally. Al-Rumayyan has pursued an aggressive global investment strategy across technology, entertainment, sports, and infrastructure, positioning PIF as both a financial investor and a vehicle for building international partnerships that support Saudi Arabia's long-term economic development goals. His dual role at PIF and Aramco gives him a unique vantage point over both the kingdom's revenue base and its investment deployment.
