Founded and built Gitcoin Grants and matching infrastructure, initiated GTC token issuance and DAO migration
Led the development of the infrastructure underlying the tool, including Gitcoin Grants and the implementation of matching pools and fund distribution mechanisms. Under his leadership, the team integrated payment providers, GitHub, and smart‑contract components to automate grant distribution, directly impacting the flow of funds through the platform and the engagement with public funds. Initiated the issuance of GTC and defined token distribution principles as part of strategic management decisions, overseeing the transition of governance to the decentralized Gitcoin DAO. These decisions established voting rights, incentive models, and the community participation economy, thereby altering the project's institutional decision‑making and fund delegation rules. Implemented practical measures to counter Sybil attacks and improve contributor quality, including support for Passport and Proof‑of‑Humanity mechanisms, as well as adapting grant round rules in response to identified abuses. Technical and management decisions led to a shift in how the token is utilized for voting and grant subsidization, while simultaneously increasing trust from major donors and infrastructure partners.
