Kathleen Quirk

Kathleen Quirk became President and CEO of Freeport-McMoRan in 2024, succeeding Richard Adkerson who led the company for two decades. Quirk, who served as CFO for many years, takes the helm at a pivotal moment: copper is increasingly viewed as the most critical metal for the energy transition, and Freeport — as the world's largest publicly traded copper producer — sits at the center of this thesis.
