protocol design, consensus mechanics, data availability sampling

Directed core protocol research and the translation of theoretical constructs into implementable specifications. Work focused on practical data‑availability sampling, light‑client proofs and the intersection between optimistic and probabilistic DA guarantees, all of which underlie Celestia's ability to act as a reliable data layer for external execution environments. Contributed to the evolution of consensus parameter choices and block propagation strategies that affect throughput, finality and validator economics. Participation in academic and developer fora helped validate design choices and attract collaborators from the rollup and Cosmos‑style communities interested in modular architectures. Oversight of testnets and reference implementations under this role provided the empirical feedback loop necessary to refine cryptographic assumptions and liveness guarantees. Influence was technical and systemic: decisions taken here constrained what kinds of rollups and execution environments could realistically deploy on Celestia and set expectations for security and performance trade‑offs.
