Built and promoted the Optimism L2 infrastructure that enabled Velodrome deployment and growth on OP
Led development and community organisation around the Optimism stack, producing the L2 execution and settlement environment that projects like Velodrome chose for performance and cost reasons. The concrete deliverables — protocol implementations, mainnet launches, and ecosystem grants/incentive programs — constituted the infrastructure layer enabling high-throughput DEX activity without Ethereum mainnet gas constraints. Velodrome's team selected Optimism as the target L2 and directly leveraged the chain's tooling, sequencer guarantees and ecosystem initiatives to bootstrap liquidity and user onboarding. The decisions of Optimism leadership to run mainnet launches, coordinate OP token incentives and support ecosystem grants are tangible administrative and engineering actions that materially affected Velodrome's initial traction and token distribution dynamics. Operationally, the availability of verified rollup contracts, dev tooling, and Optimism's public communications about retroactive or coordinated incentives shaped market makers' willingness to provide liquidity on Velodrome. Those infrastructure and policy choices by Optimism leadership created the practical conditions for Velodrome to operate at scale and attract LP capital in the Optimism ecosystem.
