Jim Umpleby

Jim Umpleby is the Chairman and CEO of Caterpillar Inc., the world's largest manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines, and diesel-electric locomotives. Born in 1967, Umpleby joined Caterpillar subsidiary Solar Turbines in 1980 and spent his entire career at the company, rising through the energy and transportation division before being named CEO in January 2017.
