Peng Zhao

Peng Zhao became CEO of Citadel Securities, the market-making division of Ken Griffin's Citadel, which has grown to handle over 25% of all US equity trades — more than any stock exchange. The firm routes retail orders from brokers including Robinhood and Schwab through payment for order flow arrangements. Citadel Securities is active in equities, ETFs, options, and fixed income across global markets. Under Zhao's leadership, the firm has expanded internationally and into government bonds, becoming one of the most systemically important non-bank market participants. Citadel Securities has also grown its market-making presence in European and Asian equity markets, while investing in proprietary technology that continuously refines its pricing and risk management capabilities across thousands of instruments simultaneously.
