Authorized and directed Circle's technical and commercial work to issue USDC on Stellar and integrate stablecoin rails, boosting XLM settlement use and on‑chain liquidity for institutional flows
Directed product and engineering decisions at Circle that resulted in the issuance and support of USDC on multiple chains, including the decision to enable Stellar as an issuance and settlement layer. That operational choice required engineering work to integrate Stellar token standards, custody and settlement flows and to document compliance controls for on‑chain stablecoin transfers, enabling counterparties and exchanges to route USDC liquidity through Stellar rails. Enabled concrete commercial integrations and partnerships where USDC on Stellar was accepted by service providers and exchanges, creating new trading pairs and settlement corridors that increased demand for native XLM for fee payment and bridging. The presence of a widely adopted USD‑pegged stablecoin on the network materially changed how market makers and institutions priced and hedged XLM exposure. Drove public product announcements and partner negotiations that converted Circle's technical decisions into live liquidity and settlement pipelines. Those documented integrations and operational agreements produced measurable increases in on‑chain transfer volume and in the willingness of institutional actors to run anchors and custody rails that interact with XLM.
