Architected the Streamr protocol, defined Data Union model, tokenomics, and product releases that shaped DATA utility
Led the technical and product strategy that turned a research idea into an operational decentralized data marketplace and messaging network, directly shaping how the DATA token is issued, used and distributed. Took responsibility for designing and releasing the Streamr Network components, coordinating the initial 2017 token sale and subsequent tokenomics decisions, and introducing the Data Union construct that created a revenue-sharing pattern for data producers. Those concrete design choices determined utility cases for DATA within marketplace payments, staking and node incentives. Managed partnerships and product launches that placed Streamr integrations with IoT vendors and third-party tooling, enabling real-world data providers to monetize streams via DATA. Operational releases and roadmap prioritization overseen by the role materially affected on-chain supply flows, token demand from marketplace activity, and the developer ecosystem that extended DATA's use. Continued leadership in governance, protocol releases and community coordination ensured technical upgrades and marketplace features aligned with the token's utility, producing repeatable mechanisms for liquidity and usage tied to Streamr products.
