Designed the worker‑pool protocol, off‑chain computation model and core smart contracts

Led specification and engineering of the on‑chain/off‑chain architecture that underpins iExec’s marketplace for decentralized cloud computing. Responsible for defining the worker‑pool model, the interaction pattern between workers and requesters, and the smart contract set that records orders, deposits and attestations; these protocol components directly determined how RLC is staked, paid and contested in task execution. Directed development of the iExec runtime and developer tooling, including the SDKs and consensus mechanisms used by task schedulers and resource providers. Implemented integrations for Trusted Execution Environments (notably Intel SGX) and the off‑chain computation verification flows, decisions that shaped the technical trust assumptions and enterprise adoption pathways for workloads priced in RLC. Steered multiple major protocol upgrades and technical releases that adjusted gas usage, orderbook matching and economic parameters, which in turn altered token velocity and the token’s role inside the ecosystem. Published academic and engineering papers on distributed scheduling that informed design tradeoffs and guided the engineering team’s priorities. Maintained leadership over core developer hires and R&D partnerships with academic and infrastructure actors to validate execution models and scale testing environments. Those concrete technical choices and product implementations are directly traceable to the operational behavior of the iExec platform and the on‑chain demand dynamics for RLC.
