Franklyn Richards

Longtime contributor to Litecoin's codebase and a visible representative of the Litecoin Foundation, engaged in both technical coordination and public-facing communication. Actively participated in Segregated Witness (SegWit) adoption, testing, and deployment processes as well as in subsequent upgrade planning, wallet and infrastructure compatibility work, and promotion of layer‑2 integrations (e.g., Lightning Network). Served as an organizational interface between protocol engineers, exchanges and service providers, helping to translate technical changes into operational requirements and rollout plans. By combining development contributions with community governance and education, Richards materially influenced how upgrades were managed, how software clients were prepared and how ecosystem stakeholders accepted changes — reducing friction in adoption and shaping the project's institutional credibility.
