Fang Hongbo

Fang Hongbo chairs Midea Group, the world's largest home appliance manufacturer by revenue, producing everything from air conditioners and refrigerators to washing machines and small kitchen appliances. Headquartered in Foshan, Guangdong Province, Midea sells products under the Midea brand (China and emerging markets), Toshiba (acquired the home appliance division), and other regional brands across over 200 countries. The company holds leading market share positions in air conditioning and several other appliance categories in China. Fang's most strategic acquisition was the 2017 purchase of KUKA, a German industrial robotics company, for approximately €4.6 billion.
