Wrote and maintained core Vaults and Borrow contracts and coordinated emergency patches
Authored the primary smart contracts that enabled lending, leveraged positions and vault accounting on Alpaca’s deployment. Key deliverables included the Vault share accounting model, borrow management logic, reward distribution mechanisms and keeper-compatible hooks for automated rebalancing. Engineering decisions in these contracts determined gas profiles, upgrade paths and the surface area that auditors examined during security reviews. Led post-deployment maintenance: applied patches to fix critical edge-case bugs, implemented governance-controlled upgradeability patterns, and coordinated multi-party deployment steps with auditors and validators. Those actions had direct operational effects on protocol availability, user safety and the capacity to migrate liquidity or change collateral parameters in response to market stress. Also collaborated on integration points with external aggregators, routing libraries and price oracles to ensure consistent behaviour during high-volatility events. By shaping the on-chain implementation and fail-safe mechanisms, the engineering work directly influenced how quickly the protocol could respond to exploits, how liquidations executed under stress and how the ALPACA token’s utility and reward flows operated on a technical level.
