Enrique Razon Jr.

Chairman & President of ICTSI · International Container Terminal Services

global

Enrique Razon Jr. founded International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) in 1987 when he won the concession to operate the Manila International Container Terminal. From that single Philippine port, he has built ICTSI into one of the world's largest and most geographically diverse independent container terminal operators — managing 34 terminals in 20 countries across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. ICTSI's portfolio is deliberately diversified across emerging and developed markets to balance growth opportunities with cash flow stability. Razon's expansion strategy has focused on acquiring concessions in underserved or growing ports where ICTSI can apply its operational expertise to dramatically improve throughput, efficiency, and service quality. Many of ICTSI's most successful terminals were struggling operations that the company transformed through technology investment, process optimization, and equipment modernization. This "turnaround specialist" model has generated attractive returns on invested capital and positions ICTSI to win new concessions as governments worldwide seek to privatize port operations. Razon's decisions on new concession bids, capital allocation across the global terminal portfolio, and management of the diverse political and regulatory environments in which ICTSI operates are the primary drivers of the stock. Global trade volumes, shipping lane realignment, and port privatization trends provide the structural demand backdrop. His controlling stake and hands-on management style make him the single most important factor in ICTSI's strategic direction.
