Drew Marsh

Chairman & CEO of Entergy · Entergy

global

Drew Marsh became Chairman and CEO of Entergy Corporation in 2024, succeeding Leo Denault after serving as the company's CFO. Entergy is an integrated electric utility serving approximately 3 million customers across four states — Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas — in a service territory that encompasses one of America's most industrially active regions along the Gulf Coast. Entergy's strategic position has become exceptionally attractive due to the convergence of several industrial megatrends in its service territory: massive LNG export facility construction (Sabine Pass, Cameron, Driftwood, and others), petrochemical plant expansions driven by low-cost U.S. natural gas, data center developments attracted by available land and power, and hydrogen production facilities. This industrial renaissance is driving load growth rates that far exceed the typical 1-2% seen at most U.S. utilities. Marsh's key priorities include building and financing the generation and transmission capacity needed to serve this explosive industrial load growth, managing the rate case process across four state regulatory commissions with different priorities, maintaining reliability during hurricane season (Gulf Coast utilities face significant storm exposure), and transitioning Entergy's generation fleet from older gas and nuclear plants toward newer, more efficient resources. His ability to convert the industrial load growth pipeline into connected customers and rate base growth is the dominant stock driver.
