Christopher Kubasik

Chairman & CEO of L3Harris · L3Harris

global

Christopher Kubasik became chairman and CEO of L3Harris Technologies following the 2019 merger of L3 Technologies and Harris Corporation, creating the sixth-largest US defense contractor with annual revenue exceeding $20 billion. L3Harris specializes in mission-critical technologies: tactical communications systems (radios and secure networking used by every branch of the US military), electronic warfare and signals intelligence, ISR (intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance) sensors, and space systems (satellite payloads, ground systems). The company operates in a sweet spot of defense spending: rather than building large platforms (aircraft carriers, fighter jets), L3Harris provides the advanced electronics, sensors, and communications systems that make those platforms effective. As modern warfare becomes increasingly dependent on information superiority, electronic warfare, and space-based assets, L3Harris's capabilities are in growing demand. The company also acquired Aerojet Rocketdyne in 2023, adding solid rocket motor capabilities critical to missile defense and space launch. Kubasik's execution on merger integration, organic revenue growth, the Aerojet Rocketdyne integration, and margin expansion are the primary drivers of the stock.
