Chamath Palihapitiya

Chamath Palihapitiya was born in Sri Lanka and immigrated to Canada, later joining Facebook in 2007 as VP of User Growth. He left in 2011 to found Social Capital, a Palo Alto-based investment firm initially structured as a traditional VC before pivoting to a more flexible capital structure. His investments include Slack, Box, SurveyMonkey, and Clover Health.
