Catherine MacGregor

Catherine MacGregor became CEO of Engie in January 2021, the first woman to lead a CAC 40-listed energy company. MacGregor came from Schlumberger (now SLB), where she spent over 20 years in the oilfield services industry, bringing operational rigor and project execution experience to a company that had been through years of strategic uncertainty under multiple leadership changes. Engie is one of Europe's largest energy groups, with a complex portfolio spanning renewable energy generation (wind, solar, hydro), natural gas infrastructure (LNG terminals, gas storage, distribution networks), energy services (district heating, facility management), and nuclear operations (through its stake in Belgium's nuclear fleet).
