Cao Renxian founded Sungrow Power Supply in 1997 and serves as Chairman and CEO, building it into the world's largest solar inverter manufacturer by shipments. Solar inverters perform the critical function of converting direct current (DC) electricity generated by solar panels into alternating current (AC) electricity that can be fed into the electrical grid or used by buildings.
