Britt Harris

Britt Harris served as CEO of the University of Texas Investment Management Company (UTIMCO), which manages both the UT System endowment and the Permanent University Fund — a constitutionally created fund benefiting Texas public universities from oil and gas land revenues. UTIMCO manages assets exceeding $70 billion, making it one of the largest university endowment managers globally. Harris brought sophisticated private equity, venture capital, and energy expertise to the endowment, building a portfolio that reflected both traditional endowment model principles and Texas's particular strengths in natural resource investing. He later moved to Bridgewater Associates. At Bridgewater, Harris contributed to the firm's institutional investment and risk management approach, bringing endowment management perspective to one of the world's largest and most sophisticated macro hedge fund organizations.
