Brahim Benjelloun-Touimi

CEO of Bank of Africa · Bank of Africa

Built a pan-African banking network spanning 20+ countries from a Moroccan base, creating Africa's most geographically diversified bank

Brahim Benjelloun-Touimi serves as CEO of Bank of Africa, Morocco's most internationally diversified bank and one of Africa's most geographically spread financial institutions. The bank, formerly known as BMCE Bank, is part of the O Capital Group (formerly FinanceCom) controlled by the Benjelloun family. Bank of Africa operates in over 20 countries across Africa, plus offices in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. The bank's pan-African strategy distinguishes it from peers. While most African banks focus on their home market or a handful of neighboring countries, Bank of Africa has built a continental network spanning francophone West Africa (Senegal, Mali, Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso), Central Africa (Congo, DRC), East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda), and Southern Africa (Madagascar). This network makes it a preferred partner for trade finance and cross-border transactions. Bank of Africa is listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange and is one of Morocco's three major banking groups alongside Attijariwafa Bank and Banque Populaire. Key stock drivers include Moroccan economic growth, pan-African subsidiary performance, trade finance volumes, credit quality across diverse African markets, digital banking adoption, and the competitive dynamics within Morocco's concentrated banking sector.
