Tim Cofer

CEO of Keurig Dr Pepper · Keurig Dr Pepper

global

Tim Cofer became CEO of Keurig Dr Pepper in 2024, leading the third-largest beverage company in North America. KDP operates a dual platform: a cold beverage business with iconic brands like Dr Pepper, 7UP, Snapple, Canada Dry, A&W Root Beer, and Sunkist; and a hot beverage business centered on the Keurig single-serve brewing system and K-Cup pods. Dr Pepper has been a standout performer, recently surpassing Pepsi to become the number-two carbonated soft drink in the US behind Coca-Cola. The Keurig coffee system creates a powerful razor-and-blade model: the company places brewers in homes (over 40 million US households own one) and then sells billions of K-Cup pods annually. This installed base generates highly predictable recurring revenue. KDP also partners with premium coffee brands like Starbucks, Peet's, and Dunkin' to sell their coffees in K-Cup format, earning licensing revenue. Cofer's execution on Dr Pepper's continued market share gains, Keurig pod volume growth, and margin expansion through the integration of the cold and hot beverage operations are the primary drivers of the stock.
