BCNext (pseudonymous)

The initiatives launched under the pseudonym BCNext within the Nxt project provided a practical basis for experimenting with PoS models, chain management, and built-in applications (assets, exchange, voting, etc.). These solutions represented an alternative path for the development of blockchain platforms compared to the original Bitcoin approach and established a concrete code and conceptual foundation that later served as a starting point for Ardor development. Nxt technical patterns — from transaction format to core functionality modules — were either inherited or refactored during the creation of Ardor. Furthermore, the community of users and developers, organized around the early Nxt releases, became the staff and partners for Jelurida's subsequent initiatives, ensuring a chain of knowledge, practices, and requirements that were considered in the design of child chains and ARDR administration tools. Historically, the contribution of the anonymous Nxt initiator — as a source of ideas and source code — is one of the decisive factors of technological continuity that led to the emergence and formation of the Ardor ecosystem.
