Protocol design, consensus rules and client software

Directed core engineering work that translated the on‑chain scaling philosophy into concrete software and consensus rule changes. Contributions included the Bitcoin ABC client, blocksize-related parameters and adjustment algorithms that underpinned BCH's initial differentiation from Bitcoin Core. These engineering choices determined how nodes, miners and wallets interoperated after the fork and shaped technical expectations for throughput and fee behavior. Proposed protocol-level funding and upgrade mechanisms that became focal points for governance debates, prompting alternative implementations and node projects to arise in response. The combination of technical leadership and controversial policy proposals compelled a broader community re-evaluation of upgrade coordination, release acceptance and decentralization trade‑offs in BCH's ecosystem. Acted as a central technical interlocutor between miners, node operators and exchanges during critical upgrade windows. Work on client releases, test suites and consensus change proposals materially influenced the chain's evolutionary path, attracting contributors and opponents whose actions redirected development priorities and network topology.
